#DanceYourYears is a super easy way that you and your family can get involved with Team Honks fundraising efforts in support of this years Red Nose Day. Harnessing the power of dance (and if you are anything like me how silly you look doing it), there’s a fun and simple way that you can join in from home whilst some of the Team Honkers join the first ever Red Nose Day Danceathon from Wembley this Sunday.
#DanceYourYears is dancing your age in minutes – so, for example, a 4 year old could dance for 4 minutes and a 40 year old for 40 minutes – any age can join in, simple! The aim of this dancing game is to raise your age in pounds (any more than that is a bonus!) For smaller dancers we have a printable certificate (see below) to say thank you.
You can #DanceYourYears any time you like, but this Sunday, 8th March, we’ll be at Wembley dancing for 6 hours and it’s going to be live streamed via the red button – so why not join in from home and #DanceYourYears !
Joining in is easy and donating the money you raise is too:
Join our giving page here: https://my.rednoseday.com/registration/landing, choose whether you are under (I should be so lucky) or over 16 and then “I’m Joining an existing Team” type in “Team Honk” you can then set up your own page within Team Honk.
Joining the team like this is a lovely way to feel part of the group and for children something visual to make them feel proud – and at the end of the day they can hold their little heads high and go into school to tell their teacher that they were part of a team that raised thousands and thousands of pounds for Red Nose Day <insert a warm fuzzy ‘ahhh’ here>
Huge thanks to Neil Donnan for the Dance Your Years idea, you flipping genius!
