So the Team Honk Sport Relief Relay batons are ready to go on Sunday. Nearly 200 bloggers will be passing the baton over 3000 miles up and down the UK to raise money for Sport Relief.

The batons have been lovingly crafted from materials from Nottingham Scrapstore by Penny, and posted to Cornwall and Wales. But we have a problem, the baton has no name, which is where you come in. And here, modelling them in true Honk stylee is Penny!

TeamHonk Baton

We say baton, not batons, because the Green Welsh baton will join the blue UK baton. The green baton fits neatly inside the blue. A third set of ribbons will be added in Scotland, to make one big beautiful team honk baton.

Each baton comes with a sharpie permanent marker, so you can add your name, date and location to this iconic symbol of blogging power!

So come on let’s give this baton a name folks! Courtesy of Hi Tec we have a pair of their latest trainers to giveaway. They are for men or women and even newer than the ones Penny from A Residence just reviewed here.

To enter just follow the rafflecopter instructions below. While you are here why not sponsor us too?

On your marks, get set go!

Let’s do this!

  1. ‘Merida’ – full of wild free-spirited red loveliness and passed from one brave, independent, talented woman to the next.

  2. Sylvia Witham

I think it should be called Taya because one of the meanings for this word is “perfectly formed”

  3. Hilda Hazel Wright

Boris? Actually reading some of the other comments Honky Tonk sounds good!

  4. Evelyn Johnston

Honklander as there can only be one and combines all the different nations into one.

  5. Emma Gallagher

    Call it. …..Baton-Down-The-Hatches
After all the rain we have had in the UK!!

  6. I think given that the baton is ACTUALLY doing the full relay (unlike us flaky bloggers), it should be awarded the respect it deserves, so would like to suggest Mr B.

  7. Jack said that he would like to choose ‘Thomas’ for a name…he is also a little confused as to what a ‘baton’ is & I think he thinks that Penny is coming to stay with us….

  8. Sandra

Thinking of the four batons colours . I would call the Baton: ‘UNIONBAT’

  9. susan willshee

It should be called the Pass-on because that’s what you do with a baton
